A seating chart is the sign at the entrance that tells two hundred people where to sit without anyone having to ask. Paste your guests one per line with a table number after a comma — "Layla Haddad, 4" — and the chart groups them into tables, balances the columns so no table is orphaned at the bottom of a page, and lays it out for print. You can sort each table alphabetically so a guest can find their own name in a second, which is the only job the sign has. It prints on A4 or Letter, and on several sheets if the wedding is big enough to need them. Nothing is uploaded and there is no account: the list stays in your browser.

How do I make a wedding seating chart?
Write each guest on a line with their table number after a comma, choose a palette, and download the PDF. The tool does the grouping and the layout — you only supply who sits where.
What size should a wedding seating chart be?
The sheets here are A4 or US Letter, which you can print at home and mount, or take to a copy shop and enlarge to A2 or A1 for an entrance sign. Enlarging a 300dpi sheet holds up well because the type is drawn at print resolution rather than scaled up from a screenshot.
Should the seating chart be alphabetical or by table?
By table, with each table alphabetical inside it — which is what this tool prints. A guest arrives knowing their own name and not their table, so the name has to be the thing that is easy to find. A purely alphabetical list works too, and that is what the escort cards are for.
What if I have not assigned tables yet?
Leave the number off and those guests print under "Unassigned", so you can see who is still waiting for a seat. It doubles as the working document while you are still moving people around.
