A place card is the small folded card standing on the plate with one guest’s name on it. Paste your list and this prints them four to a sheet as tent cards — creased down the middle so the name faces the guest when it stands up — with a hairline cut mark at every edge so a guillotine or a steel ruler gets a clean edge. The name is set in the same lettering as our wedding invitations, and if you have table numbers in your list they print small underneath, which turns a place card into something a guest can still use if they wandered off before finding their seat. Print on 250–300gsm card at 100% scale and they fold cleanly without scoring.

What size are wedding place cards?

These print at 3.5 × 2 inches folded — the standard tent-card size that stands up on a plate without leaning. Flat, before folding, each card is 3.5 × 4 inches, and four fit on an A4 or Letter sheet.

What is the difference between a place card and an escort card?

A place card sits at a specific seat and carries only the name. An escort card is picked up at the entrance and carries the name and the table number, sending the guest to the right table. Many weddings use both; this tool prints either.

What paper should I use for place cards?

Card stock between 250 and 300gsm. Lighter than that and a folded card will not stand; heavier and a home printer may not feed it. Print at 100% scale, never "fit to page", or the fold line will not land in the middle.

Can I print place cards with Arabic names?

Yes — an Arabic name sets in Arabic calligraphic lettering, right-to-left, and a list mixing Arabic and Latin names prints each card in the script its name is written in.
