That is the difference worth understanding before you pick any link-in-bio tool.
"Free" usually means "free until you stop paying"
The standard model is that the tool hosts your page. You get a URL on their domain, their name sits at the bottom of it, and the page exists for exactly as long as your account does. Stop paying — or stop logging in — and the link in your Instagram bio, which is the one link you have been sending everyone to for two years, goes to a 404 or an upsell page.
The other pattern is the account wall: the page is genuinely free, but you cannot see it until you hand over an email address that then feeds a marketing sequence.

That is deliberate. If you start here and later decide you want a real URL rather than a file, the design you already chose is waiting under the same name, and the page your followers see does not change out from under them.

Do I need to sign up to download my page?

Is there a watermark or a 'made with' credit on the page?

Anywhere that serves a static file. If you would rather not deal with hosting at all, the hosted version gives you a ready URL instead.
What is the difference between this and the paid Link in Bio service?

Can I track clicks on the page I downloaded?
Not with this tool — and that is deliberate rather than an oversight. The exported file contains no script and calls no server, which is exactly why it can promise that nothing is tracked. If you need to know which link people actually tap, that is what the hosted version's analytics are for.
Can I collect email addresses on the downloaded page?
No. An email-capture form needs somewhere to send the address, and a static file has no server behind it. The hosted version includes an email-capture block and lets you export the list to CSV whenever you like.
Will my page work in Arabic or another right-to-left language?
Yes. Turn on the right-to-left switch and the exported document is written with lang and dir set correctly, so the whole layout mirrors — buttons, icons and text alignment — rather than being an English page with Arabic words dropped into it.
Does the page work on phones?
Yes. It is a single-column mobile-first layout with a fluid width and system fonts, which is the shape a bio link needs — almost everyone opening it is coming from a phone app. Because there are no external requests it loads about as fast as a page physically can.
Can I edit the file after I download it?
