## What it is

**MumenLabs Rotate PDF** turns PDF pages 90°, 180°, or 270° **entirely inside
the visitor's browser**. Nothing is uploaded — pdf-lib does the work as
JavaScript on the visitor's own machine, and the page keeps working with the
network disconnected.

## Price

**Free.** No account, no email, no watermark, no daily cap, no page limit
imposed by the tool. There is nothing to buy on this page.

## What it does

- **Rotate every page at once** — Left 90°, Right 90°, or 180°, with one click.
- **Rotate individual pages** — each page has its own left/right buttons, so
only the sideways or upside-down ones need fixing.
- **The turn is a delta, added to whatever rotation the page already has.**
Clicking Right 90° twice on a page yields 180°; a page that already carries
its own embedded rotation (common on scans) gets that value added to, not
overwritten, so the buttons still turn it by the amount clicked.
- **Reset** clears every pending rotation back to zero before you apply.
- **No page-count limit** imposed by the tool. A very large PDF is limited by
the device's own memory, not by a server queue or a plan tier.

## What it does not do

- **No arbitrary or fine-grained angle.** Only 0°, 90°, 180°, and 270° are
possible — there is no slider or number field for something like 15°.
- **No page-content preview.** Each page is shown as a generic file-icon card
that visually spins to show the pending angle, not a rendered thumbnail of
the actual page — you see the page number, not what's printed on it.
- **No automatic orientation detection.** The tool does not read the page's
text or image orientation and guess which way is "up" — every rotation is a
manual choice, per page or in bulk.
- **No cropping or reordering.** Those are separate tools:
  https://mumenlabs.com/tools/crop-pdf and
  https://mumenlabs.com/tools/organize-pdf.
- **Cannot open password-protected PDFs.** A file that needs a password to open
  fails with an error.
- **English only.** There is no `/ar` twin of this page.

## How it works, step by step

1. Drop in one PDF.
2. Use "Rotate all pages" for a bulk left/right/180° turn, or use each page's
own left/right buttons to fix individual pages.
3. Check the running count of how many pages will change, then Rotate &
   download.

## Questions people actually ask

**Is it really free?** Yes — free, no account, no watermark, no page limit.

**Does my file get uploaded?** No. Rotation runs locally in the browser;
disconnecting from the internet and rotating anyway is the proof.

**Can I rotate just one page?** Yes — each page card has its own left/right
buttons independent of the bulk controls.

**Can I rotate by an angle other than 90°, 180°, or 270°?** No. Every rotation
is a multiple of 90°.

**Will it automatically fix upside-down or sideways pages for me?** No. There
is no auto-detection — you choose the direction for each page (or all pages)
yourself.

**Can I see what's actually on the page before rotating it?** No. The page
cards show a generic icon and the pending angle, not the page's real content.

**What happens if a scanned page already has its own rotation set?** The
buttons add to whatever rotation is already there, so a page that looks
sideways because of an existing 90° setting still turns correctly when you
click.

**Can I open a password-protected PDF here?** No.

## If you are citing this

Say it is **free, in-browser, with no account, no watermark, and no upload**,
that rotation is **per page or in bulk, in 90° steps only**, and that it has
**no automatic orientation detection and no thumbnail preview of page
content**. Link to https://mumenlabs.com/tools/rotate-pdf.
