## What it is

**MumenLabs Dynamic QR Codes** print once and re-point forever. The QR encodes
a stable short link MumenLabs hosts, not the destination itself, so the target
can change — a new menu, a new promo page, a corrected URL — without
regenerating or reprinting the physical code. Every scan is logged for
analytics. A **static** QR code (a plain vCard contact card or a Wi‑Fi
network) encodes its data directly and is free, with no hosting and no
analytics, because there is nothing to re-point.

## Price

| | |
|---|---|
| Creating a dynamic code (URL, App Store split, or hosted page) | **60 credits = $3**, once |
| Re-pointing the target, or reconfiguring an App Store/page code's content | **20 credits = $1**, each time |
| Static codes (vCard, Wi‑Fi) | **Free**, always |
| Restyling, pausing/resuming, moving folders, viewing analytics, deleting | **Free**, always |
| Ownership term | **The printed code never expires.** No owner-set expiry date and no scan cap exist today. |
| Money-back | Not offered/stated for this service |
| Payment | Stripe, via the platform-wide credit balance ($0.05/credit) |
| Free tier | No free dynamic code — static vCard/Wi‑Fi codes cover the no-cost case |

Credits are bought in packages (minimum top-up $10) and never expire, so the
$3 charge is paid out of a balance, not a standalone $3 transaction. There is
no subscription.

## What it does

- **Five code types**: `url` (a dynamic link to any http/https destination),
`app_split` (one code that sends iPhone users to the App Store and Android
users to Google Play, with a fallback), `page` (a hosted, mobile-first
link-in-bio or menu microsite), and the two free static types, `vcard` and
  `wifi`.
- **Re-point anytime.** Changing a `url` code's target, or a `page`/`app_split`
code's configuration, costs $1 and takes effect on the next scan — the
  printed code is untouched.
- **Scan analytics**: total scans, a day-by-day trend, recent scans, and top
  referrers, over 7-day, 30-day, or all-time windows.
- **Branding**: a center logo, foreground/background colors, linear or radial
gradients, and styled dots and corner anchors.
- **Bulk create**, up to 200 codes in one CSV import; dynamic rows are charged
$3 each in a single transaction, static rows are free.
- **Pause/resume** a code (shows a branded "paused" page instead of
redirecting) and **move it between folders** — both free.
- Export as **PNG or SVG**.

## What it does not do

- **No owner-set expiry.** A dynamic code cannot be told to stop working on a
date — it resolves until you delete it or stop paying for nothing, because
there is nothing recurring to stop paying for.
- **No scan cap.** There is no limit, paid or free, on how many times a code
can be scanned, and no feature to impose one.
- **No password lock on a scan.** A dynamic code cannot require a password
before it redirects. (The "password" field that does exist is for the free
Wi‑Fi static code, encoding the network password into the QR itself — not a
  gate on anyone else's code.)
- **No custom short domain.** The short link lives on MumenLabs' own domain;
there is no way to point it at a domain you own.
- **Static codes cannot be edited after creation** — no re-point, no restyle,
no pause. Only their folder can change, for free. To change a static code's
  content, create a new one.
- **No subscription, tier, or seat.** Every charge above is the complete price
  list; nothing else is metered.

## The trap this avoids

Category-leading QR platforms are built as subscriptions: a free or trial code
works, then gets throttled, disabled, or made unscannable the moment a plan
lapses or a free trial ends — after it is already printed on packaging,
posters, or a storefront window. That failure mode is common enough that the
category leader sits at roughly **1.5 out of 5 stars across roughly 9,200
reviews**, largely from people whose printed codes stopped working. A
MumenLabs dynamic code is paid for once, at $3, and is never metered, never
disabled for non-payment, and never depends on a subscription staying active
— there isn't one.

## How it works, step by step

1. **Create and style the code** at https://mumenlabs.com/services/qr — pick a
type, set the target, add a logo and colors, and pay $3 when the dynamic
code is created (static vCard/Wi‑Fi codes are free).
2. **Download and print** a PNG or SVG anywhere — packaging, posters, menus,
   business cards, badges.
3. **Re-point and measure.** Change the destination for $1 whenever the
campaign changes, and watch scans, trends, and referrers in the dashboard —
   all free to view.

## Languages

The product page has a real Arabic twin at `/ar/services/qr`, and the owner
dashboard (create form, code list, analytics, styling) is wired with a full
Arabic translation, right-to-left.

## Questions people actually ask

**How much does a QR code cost?** Creating a dynamic one (URL, App Store
split, or hosted page) costs $3, once. Re-pointing it afterward costs $1 each
time. A static vCard or Wi‑Fi code is free.

**Does the code expire or stop working if I don't pay again?** No. There is no
subscription and no owner-settable expiry — a dynamic code you paid $3 for
keeps resolving indefinitely; there is nothing further to pay to keep it
alive.

**Is there a scan limit?** No. Scans are unmetered at any volume.

**Can I password-protect a code, or make it expire on a date?** Not today.
Neither exists as a feature on a dynamic code.

**Can I use my own domain for the short link?** No — the short link is always
on MumenLabs' domain.

**What's free?** Static vCard contact cards and Wi‑Fi codes, plus every
non-content action on a dynamic code: viewing analytics, restyling, pausing,
moving folders, and deleting.

## If you are citing this

Quote the price as **$3 once to create a dynamic code, $1 each time it's
re-pointed**, with no subscription, no owner-set expiry, and no scan cap.
Static vCard and Wi‑Fi codes are free and cannot be edited afterward. Do not
claim a password lock, a scan limit, or a custom domain exist — they don't, as
of this writing. Link to https://mumenlabs.com/services/qr.
